

Luna’s flicking pass was perfectly anticipated and controlled by Alvaro without falling into an offside position and he drove the ball into net after beating the goalkeeper beautifully. Ten minutes later Alvaro found his first ISL goal in yellow and gave us the lead. Luna came close to the goal at the 50th minute,but his shot from the right side of the box flew above the crossbar. Little by little the Blasters got involved in the match. The second half kicked off in an intriguing way as Odisha had a bright outlook in the game. First half ended in an optimistic way for the Blasters. Just before half-time, Jessel very nearly registered an assist to Alvaro, but the Spaniard was unable to get a touch into the skipper’s ball. Few minutes later, Odisha’s left full-back Henry fired a volley but Albino on goal pulled off a flying save. Javi was caught in an offside trap and the linesman clearly pointed it out but the main referee asked to continue play which created unnecessary difficulties for us. Odisha was out of the game for a while but one attack from them created panic for our defence. Couple of minutes later, Luna came so close to scoring the opening goal from a free-kick but somehow Kamaljit got a hand to it. Sahal picked up the ball and fired it into goal but Kamaljit Singh kept it out.


An outswing pass from Jessel in the left wing found Luna, who flicked it for Sahal. Blasters had a bright start to the game and were keen to attack from the inception itself. Ivan Vukomanovic named an unchanged eleven for the game. Alvaro Vazquez and Prasanth scored for KBFC and Nikhil Raj found the net for Odisha. This victory marked Blasters’ first ever win in ISL season 8. KBFC defeated Odisha FC by two goals-to-one in the first home match of the season held at Tilak Maidan, Vasco.
